Define the decision your inspection must support
Before arranging a video inspection in China, write down the decision you need to make. Do you need to request replacements, arrange a specialist test, question a supplier’s statement or hold a balance payment? Include the supplier address, product and order references, and the contact authorised to arrange access. Confirm that the goods will be available and filming is permitted. Agree any access limits before paying for the visit.
Specify the batch and sample selection
List the SKU, colour, size, batch or carton numbers and proposed sample count. Record who selects the units and how they are selected so the footage can be matched to the order. Twelve visually checked units do not establish the condition of every unit in a shipment. If the purchase requires a formal sampling plan, safety testing or regulatory certification, commission the appropriate qualified provider separately; an informal video visit does not establish those results.
Link each finding to a photo or timestamp
Start the recording with an overview of the location and accessible goods. Then capture the agreed labels, packaging, stitching, finish, visible damage and measurements where suitable tools are available. Give each finding a photo number or video timestamp. The report should separate direct observations, supplier statements and unchecked items. A supplier’s claim that the next batch is corrected remains a statement until that batch is checked.
Confirm report delivery and follow-up terms
Specify the raw video, photo index, written English summary and question period you expect. GetChinaHelp offers recorded inspection at $179 (about 2h on site, report within 48h), live inspection at $249 / 3h or $399 / 6h (report within 24h after the session), desktop verification at $99 / 2 business days, and live factory audit at $499 / 48h after the visit. Execution bases cover Shanghai, Hangzhou, Yiwu, Shenzhen, Beijing and Guangzhou; the actual address, access and travel costs are confirmed in writing before payment. Live windows are agreed within 14:00–22:00 Beijing time. Recordings are retained for at least 90 days after delivery. If site connectivity fails for more than 30 minutes and cannot be restored, the live inspection converts to recorded at $179 with the difference refunded. Supplier refusal or cancellation requires your consent to replacement work; charge only completed authorised work, capped by the service fee paid, and refund the unused balance; if GetChinaHelp cancels, the fee is refunded in full. Corrective re-inspection at the same supplier within 30 days costs 70% of the original inspection service fee, with travel confirmed separately. Ask how a missing shot is corrected and what happens if access prevents a repeat visit. Download the files before any disclosed link expiry. You remain responsible for the purchase and payment decision, and pay suppliers directly.
