Wholesale sourcing fees: keep service charges and goods payments separate

Before appointing sourcing support, check who receives each payment, who places the order and what the service fee covers.

Scene illustration, not a real client project.

Separate goods, freight and service payments

Map the purchase before sending money. The supplier sells the product, the carrier or forwarder transports it, and the sourcing service performs the agreed research, communication or checks. With GetChinaHelp, goods, samples and freight are paid directly to the relevant provider. GetChinaHelp collects only its service fee; it does not hold a goods-money balance or accept supplier prepayments on your behalf.

Compare the work included in a sourcing fee

Before comparing a commission percentage, check the minimum charge, supplier-contact limit, checking scope and cost of another visit. The published GetChinaHelp wholesale sourcing starting fee is 6% of order, $79 min. Ask for the currency, fee basis, inclusions, travel and approved extras in a written quote. This is a service fee, not a promise that the supplier price is the lowest available or that a product is compliant in your destination country.

Match the sample, product listing and order

Keep the product URL, specification, colour, size, quantity and written supplier offer before payment. Make sure the approved sample reference appears in the production order. If sourcing support handles communication, confirm the ordering account, invoice name and party entitled to raise a dispute. A message saying the goods are ready should be followed by dated evidence of the actual goods against your checklist.

Approve extra work before costs are incurred

Require written approval before extra travel, storage, repeat inspections or quantity changes incur costs. Choose whether an issue should trigger a supplier question, replacement sample, independent test or a pause. Keep service-payment records separate from supplier and shipping records. If a provider asks to combine goods money with its service fee, that is a different model from GetChinaHelp and should be assessed on its own contract and fund-handling arrangements.
